Storyboard
We've planned out our storyboard in detail so that we can get a visual insight on how it's going to turn out. Istabraq drew the events that are going to happen in the opening sequence. She also produced an animatic version of the storyboard so we enable to see it through a slide show perspective.
This is a photo of our first overall storyboard, the head shaded in black represents the culprit (Dictator,Hector).
We have roughly 19 events that we plan to include into our 2 minutes.
The sequence of events from 1-19:
1) We have an image of the lamp flickering going well with the background in our setting. Whole image of derelict.
2) We're planning to do a close up on Peter who's being interrogated. We want the viewers to witness the blood,sweat and dirt on his face. (The fact that he's suffering)
3) Noise of his heartbeat, his heart is pounding at that moment. Viewers can instantly see that he's terrified/suffering.
4)Close up of his hands being handcuffed, again gives the viewers an image of him suffering, he's also trapped.
5) Mid-shot of Biologist,Peter. Deliberately use this shot so we can see peter connecting with the surroundings.
6)Mid-shot/Long shot of him with the flickering lamp this time. Viewers get a clearer view of setting.
7) Over the shoulder shot of mysterious person along with shadow effect (Upper class worker) approaching Peter.
8) Close up of the flickering lamp, this will lead us into a white screen and that scene will conclude.
9) Pixelated font will occur saying '3 months earlier' with a pixelated noise.
10) Long shot of Female sargent walking towards Dictator. Concludes when the sargent salutes.
11) Mid-shot of Peter in laboratory finalising the drug. Also says '3 months later' at the top left of screen. We can see Peter connect with his surroundings.
12) Split screen shot (Hologram) - we see peter and hector communicating through an input chip device installed near their ears
13) Close up of peter collecting substance from glass container into syringe.
14) Two-shot of Peter and lower class individual.
15) Peter walking towards her.
16) Extreme close up shot of Peter about to inject this toxic substance into her neck.
17&18) Image of the reaction inside her body. Go in detail with the veins and journey the substance makes through her bloodstream
19) Close up Image of heart monitor (hopefully plan to input noise), it begins to decelerate but doesn't stop.
Our finalised storyboard: Everything remains the same except for the '3 months earlier' bit. We plan to include that at the top of the screen in the scene with the dictator&female sargent.
