Opening Sequence

So, what's expected in our opening sequence?

We're introduced to a pitch black, derelict room with the company of a flickering un eco-friendly lamp. We then see four cut shots representing the semantic field of the character. These shots are his heavy eyes, sweating from his brow along with bloodstains/dirt, his heart pounding visualised in an animation (or shown using a heart monitor to give the sound of his pounding heart) & his hands being tied up. These shots are going to be a close up to emphasise that the character is in state of misery and is clearly suffering.

Additional note: The flickering lightbulb should captivate the audience by leaving them slightly confused as the flickering lightbulb will not fully show peter in one shot.

Next, we see a midshot of peter before we reveal a long shot showing his position in a chair, we also witness the environment that he's in and how he's adapting to it. Suspense is then created as we're suddenly introduced to a mysterious character (this is portrayed by an over-the-shoulder shot) of a figure emerging from the shadows, revealing combat shoes as well as an army uniform. However, the shadow hides his face so he remains unknown to the audience - this gives an effect on them as it goes to question 'Who is this man?'

Additinal note: After, the camera pans up to the lightbulb as it intensifies then next minute we're witnessing a white screen.

The setting changes as we're now outside, we see a female sargent emerge towards Hector. The time frame then appears towards the top left of the screen saying '3 months earlier...' we plan to display this in a pixelated font along with the sound. They converse about their forthcoming plans to manipulate the lower class by producing a drug that enables them to be susceptible.

Additional note: Shortly afterwards, the conversation is dismissed by the female sargent saluting him.

Finally, we see Peter in the laboratory wearing a white lab coat, safety goggles along with latex gloves. he's observing the drug ensuring that it's being completed. During his observation, he's interrupted by a call from Hector. They communicate by a installed chip device and their faces are shown by a split screen (we're planning to use a hologram for this bit) He then holds the substance with a syringe. Another character is introduced and he's shown relucantly approaching her.

We then conclude by a 3D animation of the substance going through the person's bloodstream. We also hear the heart monitor fluctuating but it does not completely die, although the beats per minute are very steady..

Additional note: This questions the audience if Peter ends up injecting her or not.
