A summary of the several changes that have been implemented whilst planning our opening sequence...

 

1) we've changed our title from 'Battle of the classes' to 'Exo-spirit' - we've talked about this together and have decided it went along with our particular genre as well as it having a meaning (outer body experience).

 

2) we've changed the location for all of our scenes. We've ended up filming the first and final scene in the boys changing room, we've added a flickering lamp to build that desolate/abandoned environment. We ended up filming the second scene (lab scene) in the kitchen as the walls are white and the metal table looked realistic.

 

3) we've cut the female sargeant and dictator scene. We've also decided that there isn't going to be an upper class individual. Instead, we've decided to take out the female sargeant and make our dictator female. We've also added a green screen background so that we can be able to create the surroundings we want using the specialised software (after effects) We've also scrapped the role of the upper class individual as well as the 3 people representing each class.

 

4) we've changed the script as there were too many things being said. Colin said that for our sequence it would be better if the actions speak louder than words to create the anticipation.

 

5) we've cut the 'three months earlier' bit. There's only going going to be 'three months later' - this is because we've cut the first idea we had of the Biologist having the binoculars looking out of the window (witnessing the convo between dictator&female sargeant) so as this idea has been cut it's just going to be '3 months later' leading on to the lab scene instead.
