PRELIMINARY TASK:
PRELIMINARY TASK EXPLAINED:
WE GOT INTO OUR GROUPS AND SHOT OUR PRELIMINARY TASK, WE HAD TO FILM AROUND 6 SHOTS OF SOMEONE DOING THEIR OWN THING, WALKING TOWARDS THE DOOR AND OPENING IT, CROSSING THE ROOM, SITTING DOWN IN A CHAIR OPPOSITE ANOTHER PERSON EXCHANGING A COUPLE OF LINES OF DIALOGUE.
FOR MY GROUP, THERE WERE FOUR OF US. SO I ENDED UP BEING THE MAIN CHARACTER PERFORMING THESE ACTIONS, ALEXANDRIA AND OSMAN WERE BEHIND THE CAMERA RECORDING AND ZAHRA WAS THE OTHER CHARACTER WHEN IT CAME TO EXCHANGING DIOLOGUE. THE VIDEO SHOWS ME SINGING WITH HEADPHONES, I THEN PUT THE HEADPHONES DOWN AND WALKED TOWARDS THE DOOR TO OPEN IT. AFTER I CLOSED THE DOOR, I WALKED TOWARDS THE CHAIR AND SAT DOWN. I ASKED ZAHRA (THE OTHER CHARACTER) HOW MY SINGING WAS AND SHE REPLIED 'IT WAS GREAT'. I THEN REPLY 'REALLY?
PURPOSE OF PRILIMINARY TASK:
The whole purpose of this task were to clearly outline the techniques used in filming. These important techniques are:

WHAT DID I LEARN FROM THE PRELIMINARY TASK?
I've learnt how to use the 3 main techniques and how important it is in film making. It makes the running of a film much more efficient.
WAS OUR TASK SUCCESSFUL?
It was quite successful, however we could've done better by watching out on the little things that had an impact on the overall task. In the video, there's a reflection in the door mirror as I'm walking towards the door, we can also hear Osman's voice when he was saying 'action' and 'cut'- so the timing wasn't great with that. To prevent this problem, we've cut the volume on that particular bit whilst we were editing so we didn't hear his voice in the end. Another thing we could've improved on were the amount of shots that we've filmed. We could've filmed more so that when it came to editing, we would've had more shots to pick from to make our video look more interesting/have more going on- so being creative with it. Other than that, our task went well.
