Brief plans:

We've been asked to plan a short opening scene (roughly 2 minutes) about anything of our choice, just as long as it's interesting and is clear to the audience, it also needs to build tension and enable the audience to question 'what's going to happen next?' So we as a group, sat down and shared our own ideas. We came up with some really good ideas but we didn't know whose we should stick with.

So who's idea did we decide to stick with?

Well, we've decided to combine our ideas. But Alexandria's main concept sounded really cool so we've decided to make it happen into an opening scene as it would look most fascinating.

What's our plot and how could the audience benefit from this?

Our main theme is... DYSTOPIA. Dystopia basically means: a community or society that is in some important way undesirable or frightening. It can also be set in a futuristic period. It seems like a challenging theme but the reason why we chose this is because our favourite films are related with that theme e.g-the hunger games, divergent, the matrix. So we wanted to follow in their footsteps but change the storyline.

My first range of ideas:

I came up with a few ideas at first for our possible opening sequence. We ended up using the dystopia theme but changed the storyline.

I enjoyed this task as it brought out creativity, I was able to express my thoughts in a way that could be entertaining to others.
